Teaching
Sharing my passion for science with curious young minds is one of the best parts of my job! My goal as a teacher is to challenge my students to think critically about the world around them, to ask difficult questions, and to not accept the easy answers to complex problems.
In January 2017 I commenced a position as an Assistant Professor of Environmental Science at Babson College. I am incredibly excited to have the opportunity to teach the importance of natural resource management and environmental sustainability to the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders. Through my teaching and mentoring, I hope to provide Babson students with skills in scientific literacy and a respect for the challenges facing ecological management in the face of an ever-expanding global economy.

In addition to my formal teaching obligations, I enjoy both undergraduate and graduate student mentoring (Brown University, Yale University, Boston University, EPA) and participating in other less formal teaching opportunities (e.g., Woods Hole Partnership Education Program and the NOAA Teachers on The Estuary (TOTE) programs).
